No system will allow you to win every hand. The true method of beating the casino at Blackjack is to bet more on your winning hands then you do on your loosing hands. Controlling your bets is the key to walk away from the table with more money then you started with.

The chart above shows you exactly which plays to make. Once this is done all you have left is to choose a betting strategy so you can

come out a winner.

Simple Betting Method To Beat The Casino

When playing internet blackjack or blackjack at a casino begin betting with one chip and continue to bet using only chips of the same value throughout the game. In other words, if you choose to use $10 chips, use only $10 chips for the entire game as you apply this information.

On every loss, increase your bet by one chip. Every time you win a hand, decrease your bet by one chip. When you win 2 hands in a row, start over from the beginning by betting 1 chip. If you get to an 8 chip level without winning then start over again with 1 chip. If you win a

6 or 7 chip bet, then start over again with 1 chip.

Remember, the key to beating the casino is not to win more hands, but to put yourself in a situation where your higher bets are the ones

that win.

Good Luck………

Simple Betting Method To Beat The Casino

In Blackjack, the objective is to try to beat the dealer by getting closer to 21. If the total value of your hand is closer to 21 then the dealer’s hand, you win an equal amount to what you have bet. If you have a blackjack which is a 21, you win 3:2 times your bet. E.g. – a $10 bet will give you $15 as long as the dealer doesn’t also have a blackjack. Aces have a face value of either 1 or 11. Face cards have a face value of 10 and the rest of the numbers are valued as their face numbers. If you receive an ace, you can either play it as 11 or 1 and that is why they are called a soft hand.

If the total of your hand is over 21, you bust and you loose your bet. If you have the same card value as the dealer from 17 and up then it’s called a “push” and you receive your original bet back. The dealer must draw cards until he has reached 17 or higher.

Blackjack Lingo

HIT – If you are not happy with the two cards you are dealt, you can “hit” to draw additional cards until you “stand” or bust.

STAND – If you are happy with the cards that you have received, then you can “stand”.

DOUBLE DOWN – When you “double down” that means that you have to double your bet and you will receive only one card and your

hand “stands”.

SPLIT – If the two cards you are dealt are of the same value, you can split them into two different hands by placing a second bet of

equal value. At most on-line casinos if you split two aces, you will only receive one card on each ace and you will have to “stand”.

If you split aces and you receive a blackjack it is only considered a 21 and not a blackjack. Check out our Basic Strategy Card For Single Deck Blackjack

Blackjack – Luck or Skill ?

It is been a long-standing argument all over the world – Is blackjack really about luck, or about skill? There have been many points and rebuttals thrown around to support or refute either, but the simple answer is that it is not that simple!

Lady Luck

Blackjack is not a straightforward dichotomy of pure luck or pure skill. Both are important factors for any successful player, and relying too heavily on either one will surely lead to losses and consternation. Blackjack and other similar card games have been favorites with professors of probability and statistics for obvious reasons.

With just 52 cards, there are already thousands of possibilities and hands to consider. The sheer immensity of that number, however, could spell bad news for you if you know little about applying the odds to your advantage.

Conversely, it could also spell good news for you. That is the strange thing about luck. You never know when it is going to happen, but you are bound to win sooner or later. You are ensured that you will eventually bring home the pot. Without this there would be little point, or fun in playing!

Relying on luck alone will only get you so far in becoming a winning player. Studying the game and reading books, along with using counting software is a sure fire way to make sure you make the most of your luck when it dose happen. You can find more information and products to help you at our books, Dvd’s, e books and software page.

This is why a big part of the contemporary blackjack strategy includes things like calculating for pot odds and, to some extent, card counting. Contrary to what some believe, practicing those concepts does not necessarily improve the odds for you. They just help you find out when the odds are right to bet, hit, sit, double or split. All things considered, that is a very close second to actually improving your odds.

Strength in Skill

When you say skill in blackjack, it involves a combination of experience, knowledge of the game, and a little bit of high school mathematics thrown in. Now, experience and knowledge might be familiar words to you. And we will discuss both these factors.

Experience helps you react faster because you are used to dealing with many situations and the right responses to them. there are times when playing blackjack, or any other card game for that matter, when experience counts. An example may be playing multiple hands at once. A beginner may freeze at the amount of choices to make, whilst a seasoned player will know what to do by instinct alone.

Knowledge refers to the theoretical component of blackjack which includes concepts like bankroll management. This is broadly discussed under build your blackjack bankroll, and should be applied to any serious player with a long term goal of winning. Theory also applies to how you use the rules and strategy of playing blackjack to your advantage.

As for the part about mathematics, it is basically for the calculations that were referred to above. You should be able to perform the quick calculations that are needed for card counting, an essential blackjack skill. The more complex and multifaceted techniques for card counting, in particular, require you to be able to do such computations along with factoring in other considerations, such as what will the next player do, and why.

As many blackjack tournament promoters would advertise, blackjack also involves skill. However, you should not focus only on skill to bring home the pot of money for you. Luck makes sure that you are bound to win eventually, while skill makes sure that you make the most of it when that time does arrive. Together they are a powerful force.

The experienced blackjack players who make it to the tournaments, win, and then onto fame (or in some cases, infamy) will tell you that it takes both the factor of luck and the advantage of skill to become a consistent winner. This is what separates the good players from the great ones.

Free Tip: Never rely on luck alone, make the time to study the game by reading books, watching Dvd’s and using counting software to gain an edge.

The Rules of Blackjack

After being acquainted with the game of blackjack, it is essential to follow the rules of the game.  Blackjack’s rules vary depending on where it is played.  One casino may play blackjack differently than another casino.  Just be sure to follow all casino rules to avoid any trouble.  Blackjack though, does have it’s own set of basic rules that all blackjack players should follow.  With only a bit of time and practice, they are very easy to get used to.

The first thing that any blackjack player should know is the chip amounts.  Blackjack chips are just like any other card game’s chips.  These chips are standard in all casinos as to avoid any confusion.  Generally, white chips represent one dollar amounts.  Red chips amount to five dollars.  There are higher priced chips such as the green, twenty five dollar chip and the black one hundred dollar chip.

Many times, casinos will have something called a buy in at their blackjack tables.   A buy in is a minimum about that one can bet.  Many times, casinos will have blackjack tables as low as three dollars a bet.  Some tables can go up into the hundreds of thousands.  Find a table that is reasonable.  Next make sure that the table is standard blackjack.  Ofter times, casinos will have variations of the game, which have different rules and regulations.

Once at a table, ask the dealer to trade cash for chips.  Do so only when the dealer is not busy dealing cards or in the middle of a game.  Asking for chips during one of these situations is considered to be rude and impolite.  The dealer is not allowed to take any cash or chips from a player.  Slide the money near the dealer.  In return, the dealer will slide back the proper amount of blackjack chips.  After acquiring chips from the dealer, place all bets when it is appropriate to do so.  All bets go in the circle in front of the player.  They should be placed in a vertical fashion from the greatest value amount on the bottom to least value amount on top.  Once all bets have been placed, one cannot remove the chips from the circle.  If there are any discrepancies or questions about how much the chips are worth inside the circle, just ask the dealer.    They will also answer any questions about the rules or questions about blackjack in general.  Make sure to ask at the appropriate time though.  After the round is over, the dealer will then either take money from the player, or add to their stack of chips.

After deciding when to cash out, take all chips to the cashier, usually located close to the card tables.  The cashier will then exchange any winnings or extra chips back into cash.  The cashiers will also exchange the correct amount of smaller chips for a larger chip.  They will also exchange large chips for the appropriate amount of smaller chips as well.

With some time and practice, it is very easy to get accustomed to the rules of blackjack.  However, if the rules are not followed correctly, then the casino may have one removed.  Practice with friends using some custom rules and regulations to get a feel for the game.  This will also help get a feel for what it may be like to play in a casino.  Remember, always ask questions to the dealer if there are any problems, questions, or concerns about the game.

How to Play Basic Strategy Blackjack

August 19th, 2010

A common belief among tepid gamblers is that in a game of blackjack, be it the one played in land-based casinos, in traditional online casinos or with live dealers, it is very hard to beat the dealer because the house edge is in his/her favor. Naturally they would think this way, but if anyone would do the math involved, they would know that it is not impossible to beat the dealer. All that is needed is a solid knowledge of how blackjack is played.

The goal of blackjack is to get a hand of cards whose total value is 21 or less, but never going over. If your hand is a natural blackjack or at least having a total value of 21, you will at the very least get back the money you have wagered. If you bust (that is, have a hand value that is over 21) or if the dealer’s hand is closer to 21 than yours, you lose.

There are a number of playing options in blackjack which, if you follow them astutely, can make you last long in the game. These playing options are the following:

1. Doubling down. Doubling down is an option available to a player to double the original bet he/she has made prior to the first deal of the cards. The payoff for a successful doubling down bet is 2:1. The player, however, is required to draw one card from the dealer if he makes a double down bet.

2. Splitting. You can split the two cards you receive and play them as two separate hands. Splitting is usually done if the original hand has a value of ten or eleven. When you make a split, you need to place a wager that is equal to your original bet. Take note, however, that if you do get a 21 from one of your split hands, it is just a 21 hand; it can no longer be considered as a natural blackjack.

3. Double after splitting. This move allows you to double down on your bet after you have split your original two cards to create two separate hands. However, before you do this, you need to check with the casino if they allow this move.

4. Surrender. Some live dealer casinos and traditional online casinos allow players to surrender their cards if it turns out that it is not a natural blackjack. If this is the case and you opt to surrender your hand, you can get back half of the bet you have made for that particular round.

5. Insurance. Remember that in blackjack, the dealer has one card open. If this card is an ace, the probability that it is a natural blackjack is high. In this situation, you can make an insurance bet and wager that the dealer has a natural blackjack. If this turns out to be true, then you lose your original bet but get twice what you paid for your insurance bet. If the dealer’s hand is not a blackjack, you lose the insurance bet.

6. Five-Card Charlie. There are times when a player was already hit for five times and yet has not managed to get busted out. This is called a five-card Charlie. Most casinos reward a five-card Charlie.
