Blackjack Betting Systems Revealed

Are there many blackjack betting systems?

Since the first ever casino opened its doors to punters hundreds of years ago, people have been trying to beat the house. Unusual and astonishing systems all claiming to make you rich fast, by turning any casino into their own personal cash machine, due to the favourable odds obtaining through the betting system. The thought of winning that life changing jackpot has meant that every Tom, Dick and Harry are trying their hand at inventing blackjack systems – unfortunately very few of these betting systems work, and as a result, are a waste of time and money!

What about card counting?

For years now, the traditional advice many professional blackjack players give for gaining an advantage over the casinos was to count cards and increase your bet when the point count was in your advantage. Conversely, times have changed as the use of multiple decks and shuffling machines have been introduced, and as a result counting cards is nearly impossible. It’s advised that players don’t waste their time and money using this type of blackjack strategy, as they will only lose.

If card counting systems are no good, how exactly do you win at blackjack?

The best advice is to pick up a basic blackjack strategy card chart will allow you to know exactly when it is best to HIT, STAND, DOUBLE DOWN, etc…This will give you an edge over the house, if only marginal. Once this chart has been memorised the house will never have a 55% to 45% edge on you again. If you have no black jack strategy in place, the house has a 55%-45% edge over the player as they act last and before it’s their turn, the player could have already busted out which means the house automatically wins.

Are their any tips or strategies that can help?

Before you spend another penny in any real life or online casino blackjack game, you need to play blackjack online for free until you get a real grasp of the game, its rules and regulations. A great site which hosts a free blackjack game is www.expertblackjack.co.uk, they also give a great overview of the online blackjack market and its competitors. To further your blackjack career, it’s imperative you memorise a blackjack strategy chart showing you exactly what to do with any hand you are dealt. This information will be essential during your blackjack career.

What shall I steer clear of?

Counting cards in blackjack is definitely not the route you should take. You are guaranteed to fail and it will end up costing you thousands and thousands of pounds. With so many decks and so many cards still out there, counting cards isn’t an option anymore in today’s blackjack world, especially the online world. Don’t waste your money on card counting software as this is just another way in which people are fleecing the unaware consumer as they are worthless.

What’s the best advice you can give blackjack novice?

Learn the blackjack rules thoroughly as well as a few basic blackjack strategies. Once you know the before mentioned info you will be on the road to riches in no time.

Is it better to play in real life or online?

Commonly people believe that online blackjack is rigged. That is NOT the case. It is good practice to play blackjack on multiple casinos though because it doesn’t allow the dealer to catch winning streaks. Playing both online and real life blackjack will help you fine tune your technique and eventually play a better game.

Where is the best place to play online blackjack?

There are many great blackjack providers out there, deciding on which is the best for you depends on what you are looking for? Large jackpots, promotions, graphics, game speed etc..all play a part, for the best online casinos check out the in depth reviews at www.expertblackjack.co.uk.

Blackjack – a Classic Casino Game

Anyone looking for a game that is both simple and exciting, blackjack seems the natural choice. Also known as Pontoon or Vignt Un, this is a popular game at traditional casinos as well as at online casino sites. There are many versions of blackjack, although the basic game comprises of the same idea – for the player to reach as close to the number 21 as possible, without going over that amount. Blackjack is played against the dealer and the other players at the table are of no importance to the outcome of the player’s hand. It is important to note that because of the differing rules and regulations between casinos, and the variants of the game of blackjack, players should take time to read the instructions of each game carefully before playing for real money.

How to Play Blackjack

The Basics

Blackjack can be played with one, two, four, six or eight decks of cards.

Players need to get as close to the number 21 as possible, by beating the dealer’s hand and not going over this sum.

Bets are placed before the game begins.

The value of the dealt cards are added to reach 21 or nearest.

The skill of blackjack lies in the ability of the player to choose whether to be dealt another card to get nearer to 21, or to stand with what he has.

Card Values

The suits in blackjack are of no consequence. Face cards (ie. King, Queen and Jack) have a value of 10, while the cards ranging from 2-10 have face value. Aces are either valued at 1 or 11, depending on the hands being played. A hand that does not have an Ace or where the Ace is counted as one is known as a hard hand, while a hand that consists of an Ace that counts as 11 is known as a soft hand.

The Beginnings of a Blackjack Game

Players begin a game of blackjack by finding a suitable table. Blackjack tables traditionally seat six people. Important things to look out for at a suitable blackjack table include minimum and maximum wagers, deck sizes and variant rules.

Bets are placed in a special area on the blackjack table.

Once the bets are placed, each player is dealt two cards and then the dealer takes two cards for himself. In most variants of blackjack, the player has one card facing up and one card facing down.

If a player believes that the dealer has been dealt a blackjack (21), he can take out an insurance bet at this point in the game. All bets will be cleared and the player will be paid out 2:1 if the dealer has been dealt a blackjack. If not, the player loses the insurance bet.

In most cases, players are dealt cards face up and should thus not handle the cards.

Once players see their two cards, they are faced with the decision of how to proceed in the game. Herein lies the skill element of blackjack: To take more cards to reach the number 21 and risk going ‘bust’ (ie. going over that sum) or to stay with what they have been dealt and hope to win with that amount.

The Options Available to Blackjack Players

The following are the choices available to blackjack players at this stage of the game:

Players can Choose to ‘Hit’: This is when players choose to ask the dealer for another card as they think they can advance further towards 21 without going bust. This is obviously a risk but most players understand the calculated risks within a game of blackjack, based on strategies and statistics. Of course, if a player goes over 21 after being hit, he goes bust.

Players can Choose to ‘Stand’: When a player is happy with the cards that have been dealt and does not wish to risk being dealt any more cards, he can choose to stand. This means that these are the player’s final cards in the game.

Players can Choose to ‘ Split Pairs’: If players are dealt a pair in the first round, these can be split into two separate hands and another bet, equal to the first, is placed. While various rules pertain to different versions of blackjack, the basic understanding is that hands can only be split once and that only cards of the same denomination can be split (ie. not a queen and a 10, for example).

Players can Choose to ‘Double Down’: If players are in a strong position in the game, they can opt to double their original bet. In return for this right, players are only entitled to one more card. Casinos have varying rules on the doubling down choice.

Player can Choose to ‘Surrender’: If players have been dealt particularly bad cards in the first round, they may want to surrender these cards and forfeit half of their original bet. They are then out of the round and their cards are removed.

Player can Choose to Take ‘Even Money’: Supposing that the dealer has an ace on the upcard and the player is dealt a blackjack, the player can choose to take even money. Essentially, this means that the player will be paid out 1:1 before the dealer checks his or her other card.

Winning at Blackjack

An automatic win for the player is if he is dealt a blackjack on the first round. Payout is 1.5x the original bet.

If the dealer also has a blackjack in the initial round, bets are paid back to the player. This is known as a stand off, tie or push.

If the dealer goes bust, the player automatically wins.

If the player has a lower count than the dealer, he automatically loses.

A higher card count than the dealer’s is paid out as per an equal amount to

the original bet.

Blackjack – Simple and Exciting

Many people are drawn to blackjack because of its simple rules and its classic features. The game has the ideal combination of luck, skill and entertainment and it is no wonder that blackjack is so popular in the gambling world today. Different versions of blackjack, as well as multiplayer online tournaments ensure that blackjack is kept fun and contemporary, without drifting too far from the timeless, original version that has stood the test of time.

Online blackjack is one of the most profitable blackjack games around. It beats a blackjack casino by far. The reason being, when playing online blackjack you have the option of playing on multiple casinos at one time. That means that you can have all the blackjack bonuses that come with playing on multiple tables. You can see more blackjack hands also during that time. Winning at the blackjack table can be easy with the proper strategy. One strategy to use to start with is take advantage of all online casino bonuses. Some over 500 dollars completely free just by signing up! I have made at least $25,000 this year ALONE off of casino bonuses.

To qualify for a casino bonus you have to play a certain amount of blackjack hands depending on the amount you deposit. I usually clear every casino bonus I sign up for in the first 2 hours of play. It isn’t hard consistently beating the house with a proven blackjack strategy. At every casino you play at or any blackjack game online, the house will always have the edge if you do not use a proper strategy. The reason is the house gets to act last and you have a chance to “bust” even before the blackjack dealer gets to see another card. With the right blackjack strategy guide you can always have the upper hand against the house and put the blackjack odds in your favor. When starting out playing online blackjack for the first time, I highly recommend playing blackjack for fun. You can play at almost every single online casino that offers blackjack so you can get a feel of the game and how to consistently dominate the house. The best blackjack tips to win are to study the game as much as you can and practice on free blackjack sites.

Once you master beating the blackjack dealer consistently and start making a profit with play money chips, I then recommend nose diving right into real money situations. When playing for real money, it is easy to make a living playing blackjack online IF you have the proper tools. If you don’t have the proper tools and winning knowledge please remain at the play money used blackjack table. There is no point in jumping into a real money situation blackjack game if you simply aren’t ready. Many people make this mistake and it costs them thousands and thousands of dollars. They just give all their money to the house. That is why so many casinos are profitable because of rookie blackjack players that think they are so good just because they know the blackjack rules. It takes a WHOLE lot more than knowing the official blackjack rules to make you a successful blackjack player. Knowledge is power and without knowledge you have NOTHING. There are plenty of blackjack strategy charts you can follow to help you win, but you still need the knowledge and there is no way around that. In however you decide to play blackjack, I wish you the best of luck!

Useful Blackjack Tips That Will Help you Make a Profit

Blackjack is an extremely popular game and for good reasons. First of all it is extremely easy to play. Then, since it is based on skill, you are the one that influences the outcome of the game. With the aid of basic blackjack strategy you can lower the house edge to about 1%. No other casino game offers such a low house edge. Take the roulette wheel for example. It offers a house advantage of 5%.

I have taken the time to put together a few blackjack tips that you should keep in mind whenever you play blackjack online or in a land based casino. The order in which these blackjack tips are presented is of no importance. What is important is for you to read and understand them and improve your gambling skills.

Learn the rules of the game.

There are countless online gambling sites that present all the blackjack rules in a comprehensive and detailed manner. You cannot possibly expect to be a good blackjack player if you do not know the rules. At least learn the basic rules that apply to all blackjack variations. In case you were wondering, there are several types of blackjack games: blackjack switch, multi-hand blackjack, Atlantic City blackjack, double exposure blackjack, European blackjack, high limit blackjack, Spanish blackjack, and so on. If you know the basic blackjack rules you should pick up on the rule variations easily.

The true goal of playing online blackjack or casino blackjack is to beat the dealer.

Forget that nonsense about getting a 21. You do not have to keep hitting until you get a 21. Just hit until you have a card total that is good enough to beat the dealer. If you get a natural blackjack, congratulations. But not even that will guarantee that you will win. If the dealer also has a natural blackjack the game will be pushed. But you could very well win with a card total of 14 if the dealer busts.

Do not play with your gut – use a basic strategy card instead.

The best way to increase your chances of winning is to use basic strategy. Sometimes you will get a gut feeling that you should hit even if the basic strategy card advises you to stand. What you probably do not know is that playing by gut feeling alone gives the house an edge of 6%. But when you use basic strategy the house edge is reduced to 1%. So keep one on you at all times and consult it if necessary.

Choose your gambling environment carefully.

The main difference between casino blackjack and online blackjack is the environment. Land based casinos are noisy, crowded and extremely distracting. If you are struggling to keep focused maybe you should turn to playing online blackjack. Playing blackjack in a reputable online casino can prove to be a lot more lucrative than playing in a land based casino. Not only do you get to play from the comfort of your own home, but online casinos also offer great free blackjack games and fantastic sign-up bonuses. Now tell me what land based casino lets you play for free or lets you play with their money. Beginner blackjack players are well advised to make good use of these free casino games and improve their blackjack skills.

Proper money management.

First of all you should sit down, take a calculator and figure out how much money you can afford to spend on internet blackjack or casino blackjack. Budget your money carefully and never spend more than you can afford to lose. If you have spent all the money that you had set up for a blackjack session then walk away. Do not dip into other funds in hopes that you will win. Winning is never a guarantee, even if you lower the house edge to a minimum. Playing smart is the best option.

Always tip the dealer.

Casino dealers are not unionized and are not paid very well. They do not care if you win or lose. It’s not like they are playing with their own money. Do not annoy the dealer as they can make it harder for you to win. Always remember to tip.

Hopefully the blackjack tips presented above will improve your game. Remember that blackjack is a game if skill and that the outcome of the game is in your hands. Your skill determines if you will walk away with a profit or if you will lose. Being a bit lucky never hurts either.
